If a shoe can’t survive a washing machine cycle and come out looking ready to wear, it doesn’t make it into our line. We build with moisture-wicking knit uppers, quick-dry foam insoles, and materials engineered to handle cold-water cycles without breaking down. Washability isn’t a feature—it’s the foundation. Because life happens, and your footwear should be ready for it.
Lightweight Means Something Specific
We don’t throw “lightweight” around loosely. Our sandals, sneakers, and boots use density-engineered EVA foam and air-infused midsoles that deliver real weight reduction you notice the moment you pick up the shoe. Most BZees styles clock in under 6 ounces per shoe, which translates to less fatigue over a full day of wear and easier packing when you’re traveling.

Our proprietary cushioning system pairs a triple-density foam footbed with an anatomically contoured arch and a heel cup that cups without restricting. How We Got Here
BZees launched in 2016 as a direct answer to a gap in the footwear market: women wanted comfort technology that didn’t look like comfort technology, and washability that didn’t require hand-washing in a sink. We started with a core lineup of slip-ons and sandals built around Cloud Technology® cushioning and machine-washable construction, testing materials and foam densities until we landed on combinations that could survive repeated wash cycles without degrading.
Since then, the line has expanded into sneakers, boots, wedges, clogs, and flats—but the underlying approach hasn’t changed. Every new silhouette still has to pass the same washability test, the same weight threshold, and the same versatility standard before it ships. We’re not chasing trend cycles or seasonal gimmicks. We’re building a footwear system that works for how people actually live.
How Principles Translate to Product
Material Selection
We only spec fabrics and foams that survive cold-water machine cycles without pilling, shrinking, or losing shape. That means moisture-wicking knit uppers, quick-dry insole materials, and EVA foam compounds tested for wash durability before they make it into production.
Weight Engineering
